Auckland Live Pick & Mix presents free performances and workshops as part of the Auckland Live Kids Play programme.
This popular series of free and family-friendly arts experiences is created for the young and the young at heart, showcasing the funniest, bendiest and most artistically excellent entertainers for families.
Bring the whole family this winter and see some of the brightest stars of New Zealand’s arts and entertainment world.
All 29 performances give audiences the opportunity to select artistic experiences from New Zealand’s top talent depending on what takes your fancy - from circus through to puppetry, performance art to opera.
Each 45-minute ‘taster’ performance is followed by a 45-minute interactive workshop.
Joining the fun is easy – there is no allocated seating and you can come and go as you please. Your winter arts adventure awaits.

Workshop: Learn basic acrobatics and help save the world by creating your very own character from this funny, informative and visually beautiful show.

The enchanting story Ruia Te Kākano is told with physical theatre, using drama games to teach tamariki some basic te reo Māori.
Workshop: Join us in this fun-filled workshop, using drama games and activities to learn some basic te reo and find out how our actors bring the show to life!

Your tiny dancer will love Tāmaki Tour, a collection of short works by some of New Zealand’s most exciting Chinese, Samoan and Pākehā choreographers.

A fun, interactive look at brass and percussion instruments, exploring how they work and how to play them.
