Internationally acclaimed Animals Asia founder and CEO, Dr Jill Robinson, MBE, will visit New Zealand for a public event on 31 August.

The one-off event will provide animal lovers with the opportunity to see the only New Zealand screening of “Jill Robinson: To the Moon and Back.” This beautifully compassionate film tells the life story of Dr Robinson and goes behind the scenes of Animals Asia’s work to end what many people believe is the world’s cruellest industry – bear bile farms.

The screening, narrated by Animals Asia ambassador Peter Egan, will be followed by a discussion and intimate Q&A with Dr Robinson about the amazing progress of Animals Asia’s work and what each of us can do to ensure this vital work continues.

Bear bile farming is the practice of extracting bile from live and highly endangered Asiatic Black Bears (moon bears) for use in Traditional Chinese Medicine. More than 14,000 bears are being kept in cages across Asia for this purpose.

Join the incredible Jill Robinson for a memorable evening.
