An exhibition exploring the role dance has played in the life of Auckland since the early days of European settlement.
From school socials and public dances to classical ballet and the vibrant energy of Limbs and successive modern dance companies, the exhibition focuses on the pleasure of dancing and watching others dance.
The exhibition draws on the performing arts archives, photographs and ephemera located in Sir George Grey Special Collections to celebrate the diversity of dance in Auckland over the past 150 years.
