This fantastic family day out is perfectly timed for the school holidays.

The largest gem, mineral and fossil show in New Zealand is hosted only once a year - in a different city around New Zealand.

The 2017 National Show "Nature's Treasures Unearthed" will be hosted in Auckland by the North Shore Rock and Gem Club from 6 to 8 October 2017.

Avid mineral collectors from mineral clubs around New Zealand and the globe travel to this annual event to share their love of geology, craftsmanship and enjoy field trips to fossick for gems and fossils around Auckland.

This event is open to the public and families are encouraged to bring their children too. This annual event is not to be missed.

Be dazzled by our displays and gem traders selling:

  • Minerals
  • Gemstones
  • Meteorites
  • Dinosaur Bones
  • Jewellery
  • Crystals
  • Cabochons
  • Fossils
  • Rough rock
  • Bone carvings
  • Lapidary tools and equipment
  • Fantastic fluorescent mineral display
  • Faceting demonstrations
  • Educational children's area
  • Meet the craftsmen making these creations at our very own Gem Club workshop.
  • Talk to the mineral experts and have your rocks, gems and fossils identified!

There will also be 'live' dinosaur visits for kids to see and talk to at 11am, 1pm & 2.30pm on each of the three days of the show. There will be a different dinosaur each day.

See you there!
