We have three engaging speakers who will be sharing waste-wise solutions from a female perspective and nutritional solutions to help support women as they travel on their waste reduction journey.

Kristy Lorson

Reusables Revolution: a framework for Zero Waste

Join Kristy Lorson, zero waste blogger and founder of Zero Waste in NZ!, as she delves into the problems of overconsumption and reveals the simple changes you can make to reduce your household waste.

Beth Joscelyne

Food as medicine with a focus on women’s energy and vitality

Join Beth in discovering some easy ways we can use food as medicine to enhance our health and wellbeing. With a background in natural health, Beth has seen first hand how what we eat either enhances or harms our health, and will share with us simple yet powerful ways we can incorporate food as medicine into our daily diet.

United Sustainable Sisters

How to Manage Your Flow Sustainably

Learn about reusable menstrual options and the service USS offers to help women transition to using alternative products that will reduce the waste we create every month when using disposable products. You will also learn about how this impressive social enterprise operates to gift reusable menstrual products to women in need and supports other sewing social enterprises that make the handmade reusable products USS have available.

Following the talks there will be three interactive workshops where we will be learning how to:

  • Make your own toothpaste and deodorant with Let's Make It Green,
  • Make your own all purpose household cleaner and a beauty product using World Organic essential oils with Organic Stela; or
  • Learning how to use herbs to support your health and wellbeing with Beth.

Please bring your own clean jars to take home your hand made products.

Don't miss out! Limited spots available!

This event is being generously supported by the Albert-Eden Local Board in preparation for developing a new Community Recycling Centre in the local board area. To find out more visit Make the Most of Waste
