Conviction is an exhibition by award winning journalist Qiane Matata-Sipu.

Matata-Sipu’s exhibition documents the expression of faith through diverse cultural values, ideologies, beliefs, religions and ways of worship.

Matata-Sipu focuses on her local area of Māngere and recalls that at a school speech competition her speech opened with the line that Māngere is well known as an area that ‘has a church on every corner’.

The exhibition is also an opportunity to foreground Te Ao Māori spiritual traditions.
