Auckland Libraries’ Kia Māia te Whai – Dare to Explore summer reading adventure is a fun, free way to keep your 5-13 year olds busy over the summer holidays.

Available in either bilingual or te reo Māori, the Kia Māia te Whai – Dare to Explore activity booklets take children through fun challenges and activities to develop their love of reading and language, and to maintain reading activity over the long summer break.

With up to 60 challenges to suit different interests, there’s no chance of school holiday boredom and they can even create challenges of their own! As a bonus the activities can be completed wherever you go – at the library or online, on holiday or at home.

It’s a great activity to do with friends, so encourage your child’s buddy to come along and join the adventure!

Sign up for the adventure from 20 November at daretoexplore.nz.
