To celebrate the Year of the Dog, visitors will experience the sights and sounds of Chinese and Korean culture and tradition through dance, music and food.

The festival will feature a wide array of cultural activities including vibrant performances that will colour the stage.

The town centre will be filled with fun and exciting activities including games, painting, crafts and sports. Foodies can also enjoy a wide range of Asian delicacies at local food shops that are not to be missed.

The festival has been running since 2000 and continues to grow. It is an outlet for Chinese and Korean communities in North Shore to celebrate the Lunar New Year together. It draws thousands of visitors yearly and aims to reach out to more members of the community.

Organisations such as the Albany Chinese Association, AKL Song of Art, Miao’s Taiji and others, will showcase traditional and modern songs and dances. There will be interactive booths such as calligraphy, paper cutting, new year card making, and more, as well as a variety of community info stalls for everyone to enjoy.

The admission to this community event is free, so come with your family and friends to celebrate a prosperous new year ahead.
