The African Communities Forum Inc. is proud to present the second edition of the Auckland Africa Day Ubuntu Festival 2018.

This event is a day-long festival at Roskill Youth Zone on Saturday 26 May from 11am to 8pm.

There will be ethnic food stalls, African business stalls, information stalls, cultural and ethnic performances, live band and children's activities throughout the day.

This year's theme is Towards a Peaceful, Prosperous & Integrated Africa.

This event is funded and sponsored by The Auckland Council Creative Communities Grant, the Lottery Grant, COGS, New Zealand African Welfare Services Trust and PAMOJA-NZAF.

Food stalls will include: -Ethiopian -Sudanese -Tanzanian -South African -Congolese -Zimbabwean -Ethiopian coffee ceremony plus -candy and drinks -organic popcorn.

African business stalls include: -African clothes -African jewelry -African foodstuffs -perfumes -African hair braiding.

Other stalls: -The New Zealand African Welfare Services Trust -Green Party -Notable Pictures -DHB -Auckland Regional Migrant Services -CAB -WISE -Red Cross -Electoral Commission -Love Cover Protect -South African Radio NZ - ARCC - PLUNKET.

Children's activities: -bouncy castle - free face painting - bubbles performances.

Music from talented young African performers: -Chika -Shottaz -Mukuka.

Dancing and artistry including: -Burundian drummers - Bollywood performers -Salsa dancers -Tamil performers -Caribbean steel band -South Korean dancers -Afrocuban performers - DJ sets throughout the day and from 5pm to 8pm in Roskill Youth Zone.

The event is an all-day festival with displays and performances throughout the day from 11am till 8pm.

We are now accepting expressions of interest from African community groups and societies, African businesses and entrepreneurs, service providers, government and non-government agencies and political parties to have stalls at the event to sell their goods and services; and reach out members of communities.

There is a charge applied to having stalls. If you are interested, or have questions, please send your response to Gaelle at by COB 4 May 2018.
