The University of Auckland Chamber Choir marks the 150th anniversary of composer Rossini’s death with a performance of his Petite messe solennelle, in a free concert at St Matthew-in-the-City.

The performance will feature celebrated soloists Dr Morag Atchison and Catrin Johnsson of the School of Music, and special guests alumni Bonaventure Allan-Moetaua and James Harrison.

The powerful piano part will be given by School of Music Artist Teacher Rachel Fuller, with current DMA student Eddie Giffney on accordion.

The choir is thrilled to collaborate with Dance Studies Lecturer Sarah Knox, who is directing movement for this unique performance.
