MOTAT is all about hands on learning, that’s why every weekend the museum offers interactive activities that aim to inspire young imaginations!

With themes that change every month, there’s always a fun and engaging learning experience on offer.

It’s time to explore the world of origami at MOTAT this May, join in the fun and ignite your brain through concentration and hand-eye coordination.

This is an activity the whole family can participate in as you colour and combine creative pyramids to create a personalised art-piece to take home.

There’s something magical about transforming a flat sheet of paper into a colourful three-dimensional shape.

Origami challenges us on a cognitive level and has been shown to have a positive effect on memory, non-verbal thinking, fine motor skills, 3D comprehension and imagination.

Lots of people find it very relaxing too!
