It's not often that a contemporary exhibition is able to be enjoyed by mothers with their babies and small children.

To break that trend, artists Natasha Keating and Bethany Matai Edmunds have thoughtfully included Māmā and Pēpi sessions in the public programming for their exhibition, Ngā Pae ō Hina at Central City Library.

Māmā are invited to enjoy some downtime to dig deep into the new works that use metaphor to refer to concepts of dawn, dusk and female ancestry, while their pēpi can rest or create artworks of their own in our designated māmā and pēpi friendly area.

The programme, led by Amiria Puia-Taylor, is open to all with a focus on māmā with pēpi.
