Artist Laura Marsh (aka DJ Laura Lush) offers visitors an immersive sonic experience of low-frequency bass to explore ideas around feminine energy and how to represent, activate, and bring this energy forward.
This is part of her ongoing PhD research, which attempts to create space for women within the male-dominated music, DJ and art scenes.
This is one of two exhibitions presented by Papakura Art Gallery exploring the rights of women and gender roles as part of the 125th anniversary of women’s suffrage.
