Ports of Auckland’s annual SeePort Festival is one of New Zealand’s largest free events, celebrating the city’s waterfront and rich maritime heritage. It returns in 2019 for its sixth year after welcoming over 260,000 visitors in the last five years.

Come and experience the port from land, sky or glistening sea at Captain Cook Wharf as it transforms into a bustling summer festival with family-friendly rides, delicious food, virtual reality, tours and entertainment on and off the water!

Watch dancing tug boats, explore robotic machinery and uncover the inner-workings of some magnificent vessels (including one of the oldest steam tugs in the world!) and be treated to air shows from the Royal New Zealand Navy Seasprite, Auckland Rescue and New Zealand Police Eagle. Interactive displays and games from the port’s maritime partners round out the festival including the Royal New Zealand Navy’s first purpose-built strategic sealift ship, HMNZS Canterbury, pulling up to the wharf for your chance to jump on board.

At the heart of the wharf sits the main stage, with performances each day from acoustic band, White Chapel Jak. On the Sunday evening from 6pm, the stage plays host to the renowned Auckland Symphony Orchestra and iconic New Zealand vocalists; The Lady Killers. Stick around until the end and be treated to a spectacular fireworks finale!

Sun and sea are the perfect mix for a long weekend, and best of all it's mostly free! Check out to see what’s on. #SeePortAKL
