Playground review: Bledisloe Park

We’re taking a look at some of Auckland’s best playgrounds. This week: Bledisloe Park, 86 Queen Street, Pukekohe

Bledisloe Park playground has been given a new lease on life, just in time for summer. The playground has recently undergone an upgrade, thanks to the Franklin Local Board.

What's on offer

The playground has been on the site since 1990, but now features challenging climbing elements, giant and smaller swing sets and a sand play area.

New landscaping and facilities make the playground more accessible for all ages. Despite the upgrade the old favourites loved by previous generations of local kids have been retained. The ever-popular Roktopus is still there, along with the spinning disc.

More to do

The playground sits next to the newly constructed Bledisloe Park Sports Centre, which was completed in September. There are picnic tables for those who wish to bring food, and public toilets for your convenience.
