Auckland Rural Fire, supported by the New Zealand Fire Service, is responding to a large vegetation fire at the end of Wright Road, Matakana.
One property has been evacuated as a precaution.
Principal Rural Fire Officer Bryan Cartelle says all available appliances in the area are responding to the fire.
Two helicopters with monsoon buckets are also assisting.
