Pot-holing work to begin in the CBD

Last Updated : 31 Jan 2017

It's time to start work on the detailed design of the CRL’s mid-town and Karangahape Rd stations and the modifications to Mt Eden Station.

Before this begins though, we need to investigate the condition and location of the existing underground utility services.

The investigations will include closed circuit television (CCTV) drainage surveys, ground penetrating radar (GPR) surveys and potholes (open excavations).

The CCTV and GPR surveys are relatively quiet, but the potholing operation will have some noise and traffic impacts. CRL and its contractor, Intergroup, will liaise with people close to the works to minimise any negative effects.

Where and when

Potholing works are planned to occur in these places, however investigations may result in additional locations and timeline shifts.
