Need some motivation to get fit? The Auckland Walk Challenge is a free event where you ‘virtually’ get to walk the length of New Zealand and compete for a range of prizes.
The Auckland Walk Challenge, which runs for the month of March, is designed to encourage more of us to walk – to the shops, to work, the park, to visit friends and to get to know our local neighbourhood.
Those registered for the challenge simply enter in their steps or walking activity online each day to make progress from Cape Reinga to Bluff.
Walking not only keeps you fit but increases happiness levels and is good for the environment. Choosing to walk instead of driving will also save you money.
