Calling photographers for collaborative Queens Wharf exhibition

Panuku Development Auckland is encouraging photographers to apply now to participate in a collaborative exhibition shown in an al fresco gallery on Queens Wharf.

Under the guidance of industry luminary Tom Ang, up to 10 photographers will be given the opportunity to conceive, photograph and produce an exhibition titled 'Connections – Reflections'.

Reflecting on our city

The chosen photographers will be mentored in workshop style and will be encouraged to explore themes around reflections in a literal sense, or reflect on the people that make up our city.

Together, the exhibition will allow us to reflect on the city we know and love – Tāmaki Makaurau.

Into its third season, 'Connections – Reflections' in an opportunity for all experience levels to gain knowledge, exposure and have fun while you’re at it.

About Tom Ang

Tom Ang is a photographer, author, educator, TV broadcaster and traveller, and a leading authority on digital photography. Tom won the Thomas Cook award for Best Illustrated Travel Book for his photography of the Marco Polo Expedition.

He has worked as a magazine editor, picture editor, and technical journalist and has exhibited internationally and is an international photo-judge.

He was a University Senior Lecturer in photography for more than 12 years. He has written more than 30 books on photography including the best-selling Digital Photographer’s Handbook, which has been translated into more than 20 languages, the award-winning Digital Photography Masterclass and Photography: The Definitive Visual History.
