Auckland Council Communication and Engagement Director Karl Ferguson is leaving his role to return to Wellington.
Council Chief Executive Stephen Town says, “Since joining the council in September 2014, Karl has brought innovation and new thinking to the work of Communication and Engagement."
“This has included the launch of the OurAuckland news site, year-on-year growth across our suite of key communication channels, and tirelessly championing the need to improve trust and confidence of Aucklanders in the council.”
Mr Ferguson will continue in his current role until the end of the year. Future leadership arrangements for the council’s Communication and Engagement department will be decided and announced in the coming weeks.
