Sharing the love for libraries
Albert-Eden-Roskill Ward Councillor Cathy Casey loves Auckland’s libraries.

Albert-Eden-Roskill Ward is fortunate to have four fantastic libraries, at Mt Albert, Mt Roskill, Epsom and Point Chevalier. Each year, the four libraries combined have more than 800,000 visitors, lend more than 1.3 million items and arrange 450,000 computer or Wi-Fi sessions. And this is only a fraction of the services they provide.

Albert-Eden-Roskill Ward Councillor Cathy Casey says, “Libraries are important to everyone in the community. They are wonderful places where people can connect and learn.”

Libraries are community hubs that also offer a range of events and activities – from meditation classes to science labs and discussions with authors. You can even learn New Zealand Sign Language or watch a movie at the library. Best of all, library membership is free for all Aucklanders.
