Grab a bargain at the Stoney Homestead Community Hub Market Day in Millwater on Sunday 25 November.
More than 20 stalls with handmade crafts, jewellery, woodwork, crystals, herbal remedies and food will feature alongside live music and performances while the kids enjoy a bouncy castle and face painting.
Hibiscus and Bays Local Board acting chair Janet Fitzgerald says geared to family, the free event allows people to meet other hub users, vendors and community groups, and find out what is on offer.
"Stoney Homestead Community Hub allows people to meet, learn new things, make friends and have fun.
“Originally built as a family home in the 1800s, it has welcomed many people over the years. Now fully rebuilt and restored, it has a new purpose as a much-needed community space for Millwater and Silverdale residents.
“As the area develops and more families move in, it’s good to have a place where people can access a range of activities and services that reflect local needs.”
Stoney Homestead Trust Chairman Dave Adams says the hub offers residents the chance to network, learn and meet with common interest groups.
Book hub space
With nine bookable spaces for different sized groups, the hub is ideal for community classes and small events. The kitchen can be used on its own or with a servery area.
