Papakura Local Board members Katrina Winn, Felicity Auva'a (deputy chair) and Brent Catchpole (chair) and Manurewa-Papakura Ward Councillor Daniel Newman had a helping hand to open a new playground in Kauri Drive Reserve.

A community day, sausage sizzle and games were part of the fun at the opening of a new playground in Takanini. 

Local families joined Papakura Local Board members and Manurewa-Papakura Ward Councillor Daniel Newman at a community day to mark the opening of the new playground in Kauri Drive Reserve.

Among the features are deconstructed climbing elements, a sandpit and play court as well as swing set for teenagers, adults and younger children with a standard swing and high swing.

Located within a new housing area, the playground is designed for a range of ages to have fun and as well as challenged.
