Long Bay Regional Park

From an all-access playground to bush walks, Long Bay Regional Park has something for everyone.

Kids will love the Variety – the Children’s Charity playground at Long Bay Regional Park, which encourages children of all abilities to play together. The all-access playground includes rubber mats for easy wheelchair access, a space net, swings and a see-saw.

Long Bay Regional Park also has a safe swimming beach, nature trail, coastal walk and bookable picnic sites.

The sweeping beach adjoins a marine reserve, while the park itself also has stands of native bush, the historic Vaughan Homestead. From the park, you can explore the coast as far as north as Okura.

The marine reserve includes rock pools to see at low tide. All sea life is protected here, so please do not take or damage any marine life.

You can look out for crabs, sea anemones, sea snails, barnacles, seaweed (Neptune's necklace and sea lettuce), pacific oysters and mussels. If you’re lucky you might see dolphins, which are known to visit the waters of the reserve.
