Come join Conservation Volunteers New Zealand and Orakei Local Board on a community planting day at Waiata Reserve in Remuera.

Orakei Local Board is enhancing the stream and surrounding areas by planting native species along the stream bank.

Native plants provide important habitat for birds and insects and help improve water quality in the stream.

Join our community planting day, bring all the family and stay for a free sausage sizzle.

What to bring: Gumboots or closed toe shoes, appropriate clothing, favourite spade (of you have one), gardening gloves (optional). Some spades and gloves will also be provided.

We can also transport limited numbers to the project from our office in Eden Terrace.
