This year’s annual conference tackles the important question: How can we best protect and restore the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park?

Recently the Hauraki Gulf Forum recommended that at least 20% of the waters be protected and that 1000sqkm of shellfish-beds and reefs be restored.

The forum’s flagship public event will feature expert speakers, panel debates, facilitated breakout sessions and the annual Holdaway Awards.

The MC for the event is Elisabeth Easther of TVNZ’s Islands of the Gulf.
