This one-day seminar will present initial results from our research into using seabirds to measure the health of the Hauraki Gulf.

Speakers will also highlight threats to seabirds, a seabird restoration initiative working with community groups, and a new website to promote our seabird research.

The website will include interactive features that allow access to up-to-date information on our precious seabird taonga and the environment in which they live.

Our research and outreach programme is funded through Foundation North’s G.I.F.T Initiative with support from the University of Auckland, DoC’s Conservation Services Programme, the Birds New Zealand Research Fund and Auckland Council.

Tickets include lunch, plus tea and coffee.
