Join the community ranger team on a free guided walk through the unique Withiel Thomas Reserve in central Epsom.

This reserve is a hidden treasure and contains a fragment of old rock forest that once covered more than 5000 hectares of the Auckland isthmus.

The reserve is the only accessible part of the forest, gifted to the city by the Thomas family in 1948.

Learn about the unique flora and fauna that call this forest ecosystem home as well as ongoing threats.

A good level of mobility is required.
