A lot has happened this year, but never fear. Auckland Zinefest is still coming in 2020, but just a little different this time… Welcome to Auckland Zinefest Online!

Auckland Zinefest has been celebrating zines (self-published works) and DIY culture for over 10 years in Tāmaki Makaurau.

Physical events will be postponed until later in the year but will bring the usual winter excitement of zines, workshops and activities to an online platform that can be accessed nationwide!

If you didn’t know about zines before, this is the perfect opportunity to find out all about it!

Learn how to make zines, listen to speakers talk about their creative careers or just spend a lazy afternoon browsing the online zine market.

  • Online Market: The beloved zinefest market will be replicated with an online shop where zinemakers can showcase and sell their works. The online zinefest market will be live on aucklandzinefest.com from Saturday 4 July.
  • Workshops: Local artists and zinemakers will host online workshops and create resources sharing the inspirations and techniques of their craft. Follow Auckland Zinefest on social media to stay up to date with workshop announcements.
  • Activities: Online activities will be posted on the Auckland Zinefest social media channels for anyone to participate and through which to connect with other artists.

So keep that head up and keep creating as we want to keep the Zinefest spirit alive!

Auckland Zinefest is funded by Auckland Council Creative Communities.
