This workshop will provide a peek into the world of Rongoā Rākau; Traditional Māori Plant Medicine.

We will explore a selection of native plants and discuss key philosophies, principles and processes of Rongoā Māori.

There will be an opportunity to taste a remedy and to make a Rongoā healing balm.

Emma Haslam is of Ngai Te Rangi and Ngati Hauā descent and has worked with Donna Kerridge, supporting her Rongoā Māori Practice for the past six years.

She has also trained with prominent Rongoā Māori experts Rob McGowan and Atarangi Muru.

Emma’s passion for Rongoā Māori is unrelenting. She is competent in the arts of karakia, Māori bodywork and plant medicines.

This workshop is funded by Whau Local Board.
