Organ Rebecca-Soojung Lee

The ‘Organ Symphony’ is justly loved for its terrific melodies and, not least, for the spectacular contribution of the organ.

It is such a warhorse, though, that it’s very easy to overlook how ingeniously it is constructed.

The orchestra will play excerpts from this wonderful work and taking us through the piece, Marija Naumovska reveals Saint-Saëns’ endless inventiveness.

Please note: Presenter Marija Naumovska and Conductor Vincent Hardaker replace the previously advertised regular presenter/conductor Graham Abbott for this concert. Graham is unable to travel to New Zealand due to the current border restrictions in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. APO looks forward to welcoming him back to Auckland for future Unwrap concerts.
