Cats, Dogs and Madonna explores Mangere-based artist Aasha-Samara Nimo’s experience of living with her grandmother, ‘Nannan’, enabling an intimate observation into Nannan’s post-war, silent generation-isms.

Through an innovative installation of treasured objects and film photography, the exhibition peers into the surprising and tender discovery of several unconventional similarities between the artist and Nannan that have survived their four-generational gap.

Exhibition is showing in Gallery One of the Homestead Galleries at Corban Estate Arts Centre.
