Rachel Kiddie McClure uses combinations of colour, pattern, text and symbolism to explore humour in her everyday life as a mum and as a woman.

Fragments of sadness, rage and frustration linger in the background, but her guiding sentiment is “it’s feminism with a frown turned upside-down” (Harford, 2013).

Her works range across drawing, sculpture and textiles and sit comfortably within a kitsch aesthetic.
