In November, Mt Smart Stadium was transformed from a sports field into a motocross arena to host the Monster Energy SX Open.
More than 6000 tonnes of dirt was trucked into the stadium to create the track, in a project that involved Auckland Stadiums (Regional Facilities Auckland), Auckland Council, ATEED and Auckland Transport.
