New place to play for Takanini families

Published: 7 November 2018

A community day, sausage sizzle and games were part of the fun at the opening of a new playground in Takanini.

Local families joined Papakura Local Board members and Manurewa-Papakura Ward Councillor Daniel Newman at a community day to mark the opening of the new playground in Kauri Drive Reserve.

Among the features are deconstructed climbing elements, a sandpit and play court as well as swing set for teenagers, adults and younger children with a standard swing and high swing.

Located within a new housing area, the playground is designed for a range of ages to have fun and as well as challenged.
