Auckland Council Pools and Leisure has your summer sorted. With swimming pools, gyms, group fitness classes and school holiday programmes for the kids – there’s heaps of ways for the whole whānau to be active and having fun this summer.
And with 44 leisure centres across the region, there is bound to be one in your neighbourhood or just a short drive away!
Here are some great ideas you can do this summer:
Try a new fitness class
Whether you're into stepping, spinning, zumba-ing or boxing, there is an affordable group fitness class for you at Auckland Council Pools and Leisure. Classes suit all fitness levels and abilities.
Keep cool and avoid the discomfort of sunscreen mixed with sand, by heading to one of our pools. They’re a great spot to get together with your mates or to keep the kids busy for a few hours.
School holiday programmes
Our school holiday programmes for kids are full of active adventures and include team sports, games, cooking, arts and crafts and day trips.
All staff are qualified in First Aid, so you can relax knowing your children are in safe hands.
Workout at home
Check out the series of workout videos you can do in the comfort of your own home.
Filmed by our team of fitness instructors from across the Auckland Council Pools and Leisure network, each video demonstrates a series of exercises that use different training styles and need little to no equipment.
