For the 13th time in a row, the Kowhai Festival is organising a Movie Night for families with a free film for all.
This year, the venue is at Goodall Reserve, Snells Beach, and the date is set for Saturday, 30 October. The committee has chosen the very popular animation ‘Tom And Jerry’. The movie starts at 8pm.
Snells Beach Primary School will provide a comprehensive entertainment program for kids and families from 5pm with Music, Bouncy Castle, games, performances and lots of food stalls.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of local real estate company Barfoot & Thompson, kids will receive a kite as a present.
Families are welcome to bring their own picnic. As the ground might still be a bit damp it’s probably a good idea to bring a chair or some seating as well as some warm clothes.
The Kowhai Festival Movie Night is made possible, thanks to the great sponsorship of Barfoot & Thompson Warkworth, who have supported the event for many years.
It's the biggest outdoor cinema screen in New Zealand.
The Warkworth based Travelling Cinema Company., is again in charge of the show with the biggest outdoor screen in the country. The company was established in 2003 and was the first big screen outdoor exhibitor in the country. They initiated and deliver the Auckland Council Movies in Parks series, which attracts tens of thousands of residents each year.
