The event is aimed at challenging the ableism dominant in our society and to help people appreciate the Autistic Ways of Being.
It's very important to give a platform to the perspective of lived experience, which is what this workshop will do.
The workshop will include a history of the autism industry and behaviourism, information about the neuro-diversity moment, autistic activism, ethics and moral rights, and Autistic advocacy internationally and in Aotearoa.
This will be followed by a Q&A session.
This event is most suitable for teenagers and adults.
There is a lot of free parking available outside the library and in surrounding areas.
