Join crime authors Madeleine Eskedahl (author of Blood on Vines) and Catherine Lea (author of The Water's Dead) for an informal chat about writing, publishing and books in general.

Author bios:

Catherine Lea is the author of The Candidate's Daughter and other popular thrillers. Her latest book 'The Water's Dead' is a small-town police procedural set in the far North.

Full of twists, it introduces DI Nyree Bradshaw, New Zealand's answer to Vera Stanhope.

Catherine lives on Auckland's North Shore with a fox terrier that thinks he owns the house. Alongside her writing career, she has sold international satellite capacity, worked in IT recruitment and run her own communications store. 

Madeleine Eskedahl Debut best-selling thriller Blood on Vines is the first installment in the Matakana series, with sequel Rings on Water underway.

In New Zealand's Martinborough, an ex-wine maker is murdered. The precise planning and execution by the unknown assailant begins a series of vile attacks.

Madeleine was born and raised in Sweden, and moved to New Zealand in the early nineties. A voracious reader from an early age with a fondness for mystery, she lives on Auckland's North Shore with her husband, two daughters and two West Highland terriers.
