Members from the Kaipara Flats Library community share stories about the settlement of Kaipara Flats and its historic buildings, with a talk, tour, and afternoon tea.
The tour covers the Ranfurly Hall, (cc 1903), the McKinney Hall, a heritage building originally the Presbyterian Church, (cc 1914), the Kaipara Flats Butchery started over 100 years ago, and finishes with a talk and afternoon tea at the library.
The library was established in 1878 in a room at Kaipara Flats School.
This event will be part of the Auckland Heritage Festival.
This will be a free event but people are asked to register their interest at Warkworth Library so we can have an idea of the numbers for catering.’
