Come join us at Eskdale Reserve, one of Auckland's largest Significant Ecological Areas, and help protect our unique flora and fauna. As regular volunteers led by expert ecologists, we're dedicated to preserving this special reserve and making a positive impact on the environment.
Since 1998, the Kaipātiki Project has been working hard to restore and protect Eskdale Reserve. Our activities include restoration planting, pest control, weed removal, and conservation efforts for kākahi/freshwater mussels, titiwai/glowworms, and pekapeka/bats. With plenty of opportunities to learn and explore, you'll discover the wonders of our native ngahere and connect with like-minded people.
We are preparing areas to become planting sites for our major planting days in June.
No experience is necessary - bring your gloves (if you have them) and a water bottle, and wear closed-toe footwear. We're committed to ensuring everyone's safety and will be following all appropriate Health & Safety measures.
By joining us at Eskdale Reserve, you'll become a champion for our environment and make a real difference in preserving this beautiful ecological area. We appreciate all your help and look forward to seeing you!
Thank you for all your help and we look forward to seeing you.
