ZINE ZONE

In anticipation of the upcoming @Whau Zine Fest 2024...(https://fb.me/e/6cUd4j0p5)

The Avondale Library presents a DIY zine table to excite you to make paper goods!

This is a relaxed drop in activity, great for tamariki, tweens and teens but open to creative enthusiasts of all ages.

Zines are self-published booklets that can be drawn, collaged, or painted. Your zine can be stapled or folded and can be about anything: from an archive of your favourite musician, a personal story or an informative read on something you're passionate about. The zine is your oyster!

Your local librarian will facilitate a themed prompt in the first hour of these Sunday sessions.

FEB 4th: Waitangi Reflections - learn about the treaty and what it means in our ever changing country.

FEB 11th: Lunar Celebrations - Explore the different ways cultures around the world celebrate the new year and the evolving phases of the moon.

FEB 25th: Pride Celebrations - Come together in unity and celebrate (with pride) our LGBTQIA+ and takatapui community.

Children must be supervised at all times.

All materials provided.

Free, no registrations required. Haere mai!
