Author reading – Mr. Bingley is Different by Nicky Gumbrell

Nicky Gumbrel will be in to read her adorable book “Mr. Bingley is Different” and she will be bringing some very special guests... the REAL DOGS who inspired the book, Mr Bingley and Manny!
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THERE WILL BE DOGS IN ATTENDANCE.

Auckland Zoo Talk and Activity
1pm - 2pm
Caring for kararehe creatively these holidays! Join the conservation learning team to consider how we look after animals at the Zoo today... and what you could do for your pets at home!
Attending whānau will have the opportunity to reflect on zoo care over the past 100 years and experiment with recycled or repurposed materials to create engaging enrichment items for animals to use.
Connect to your backyard, the Zoo and wider natural environment with a range of hands-on activities that help to translate curiosity and compassion into meaningful actions for te taiao. Whether you are a pet owner or avid zoo fan, there will be something for everyone to get their paws stuck into!
There will be no live animals at this event.

Robot Coding Challenge
12.30pm - 1.30pm
Come and have a go at beginner level coding using our adorable mtiny robots. Have a turn at each of the challenges and help the mtiny robot get to where he needs to be!

Hibiscus Coast Zero Waste 'Then & Now' Activity
10am - 11am
Then & Now is all about what did we use back then and what do we use now. Come along and join Hibiscus Coast Zero Waste for a fun game where you will make your way around the library to find the matching pairs of items. HOWEVER one is from then and one is from now. Can you work out which one is better for papatuanuku?

Teen craft session – Beads and Badges
Come and hang out in the Teen Space in the library and get creative. We will be making badges, friendship bracelets, and key chains.

Author reading - Shoe Trouble by Eleanor Neil

Eleanor Neil will be in to read her wonderful book “Shoe Trouble”. Along with this reading there will be a Shoe Scavenger Hunt and “Shoe Trouble” themed activities.

Time Warp Minecraft Club
2pm – 3.30pm
Bring your Minecraft loaded device and take part in our Time Warp themed Minecraft Challenge.
Make friends, show of your skills, and share tips and tricks!
