Judi Goldsworthy, President of the Manukau Branch of National Council of Women of New Zealand, will talk about the history of the suffrage fight by determined and uncompromising women who never gave in until they achieved their objective – “the right for women to vote”.
This month, countries around the world will celebrate the Suffrage Memorial. It is extra special as New Zealand was the first country in the world to pass the law to give women the right to vote in 1893.
