Make a Zine! - Wednesday 8 January 2.30 – 4.00pm

Come along and make a cool zine! Drop in and get creative with photo collages and craft materials. Adult supervision is required for ages 5 – 7 years.

Fun with Lego - Friday 10 January  2.00 – 4.00pm

Drop in for a fun afternoon of building with Lego!

Self Defence for kids - Friday 17 January   10.30 – 11.30am
@ Tāmaki Ex-Services Association Hall

Presented by GKR Karate. The class introduces students to the principles of safety awareness - from awareness of their surroundings to simple things they can do to keep themselves safe. The session is designed to be fun and easy to learn, helping the students to recognise and avoid danger. For ages 5 – 12 years.

Puppet Show and craft - Friday 17 January    2.30 – 4.00pm

Enjoy a short puppet show presented by your librarians and make a cool sock puppet craft to take home! Please bring any coloured spare socks. 

Suitable for ages 5+. Adult supervision is required.

Make a Photo Tree craft - Tuesday 21 January   2.00 – 3.30pm
@St Heliers Library

Create a photo tree craft with upcycled milk bottle tops. Please bring photos (or copies) of your favourite people, animals or things to cut out for your photo tree. Note: The photos will need to fit inside the milk bottle tops.

For ages 5 – 12 years. Adult supervision is required for ages 5 – 7 years.

Low Waste Holidays and DIY Seed Paper - Tuesday 28 January 2.30 – 4.30pm
@ Tāmaki Ex-Services Association Hall

Come, learn, and create with the WasteWise team.

This time we're talking about how to make less waste and have more fun over the holiday period. We will give you creative ideas for low waste gifts and gatherings and help you become a waste sorting champion.

We will finish off by making DIY seed paper – the perfect holiday gift!

Recommended for school age children and over.

Children must be supervised by their parent or caregiver.
