Daniel Smith artist statement:
I sculpt from found items, including cutlery, kitchen utensils and construction materials. Inspired by the forms of real animals and fish, I turn humble materials into creatures that might exist in a world a little creepier than our own. I illuminate many of my works to achieve a sinister imperfection as the light spills from cracks and crevices.
