ASB Polyfest 2025 marks 50 years of Polyfest history and you’re invited!
The Auckland secondary school’s cultural festival is the largest of its kind in Australasia, with more than 80,000 visitors over four days; cultural stages with performances from the Cook Islands, Diversity, Māori, Niue, Samoa and Tonga.

ASB Polyfest provides a platform for Auckland’s secondary school’s cultural groups and young individuals to take part in speech competitions, and cultural group performances in front of family and friends.

To celebrate 50 years, this year’s theme is "LEGACY - a treasure handed down". "He oha nō tua, he taonga tuku iho!"

Another highlight of ASB Polyfest is the array of stallholders promising something for everyone. From Pacific food delicacies, to arts and crafts from Aotearoa and the Pacific, ASB Polyfest organisers are expecting large crowds, so online tickets are a must to beat the queue.

The official pōwhiri will be held on 2 April 2025 and will be attended by all participating stages (Cook Islands, Diversity, Māori, Niue, Samoa and Tonga).

ASB Polyfest is a smoke-free/vape-free, drug-free, and alcohol-free community event designed to celebrate all students participating and attending this year’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

The Auckland Council elections team will be attending this event to promote the upcoming 2025 local elections. Visit their tent to find out:

  • if you are enrolled to vote
  • how to update your enrolment details
  • how to be a candidate or vote in local elections
  • how to spread the word to your whānau and friends.
