Create expressive pieces inspired by nature’s beauty through painting and contemporary tukutuku with the tutors from Ōwairaka Community Club. Tukutuku is displayed in Wharenui to tell stories, representing genealogies, Poutama (spiritual growth) and community progress among other themes.

This two-hour workshop is an opportunity for you to sit down and explore your path to wellbeing through artistic expression. Everyone is welcome, especially tangata whaiora and those with lived experience of mental health challenges, their whānau, and anyone looking for a welcoming, a culturally supportive, inclusive community space. Limited spots available.

Ōwairaka Club provides a relaxed, social, creative, non-clinical space for adults who experience mental health issues living in the Auckland District Health Board area.
