Spend a cosy afternoon in the library with your whānau and friends, watching a movie and making some fun crafts!

Love Food Hate Waste Matariki Workshop | Wednesday 8 July, 9.30am - 12pm
Join Wei for this workshop where together we will make a hearty soup to share, learn about the whetū and āna tohu mō te taiao (their signs for the environment) reflecting te matauranga o te kai (the knowledge of food) we have learned from our tūpuna (ancestors).
Bring a few veges or herbs from your garden, or from your fridge that look a bit tired, and turn them into a soup!
Bring your own chopping board and your taste buds. Please inform wei@ecomatters.org.nz if any food allergies need to be accommodated. Suitable for children aged 10+ and their whānau, register to book your spot.

Join the ReCreators, craft your own 2D Matariki inspired hanging sculpture using upcycled materials. Suitable for ages 5+, register to book your spot.
Science with Physics Pathfinders | Wednesday 15 July, 2.30pm - 3.30pm
The student run organisation Physics Pathfinders will lead you in some fun science experiments in this workshop. Suitable for ages 8 - 12, no registration required.
Build Your Own Waka | Thursday 16 July, 10.30am - 12pm
Build your own mini waka (boat) out of sticks, flax and paper. Then test it out in the water. Suitable for ages 8+, no registration required.
