Spring is a busy time for birds. They're often out building nests, laying eggs and feeding hungry chicks. 

At this time of year, many chicks start exploring outside their nests.

While some chicks are genuinely lost or orphaned, and in need of rescue, many are just having a look around, so are best left to explore and find their own way home.
